Web Dashers Settings: Noclip, Hitboxes and More
Web Dashers puts Noclip, hitboxes and progress displays in Options. We checked their in-game explanations and tested Noclip, visible hitboxes, decimal progress, the FPS display and a slower game speed.
How to open the options menu
From the main menu, the bottom gear opens Settings. Choose Options. The first page is Gameplay; the right arrow reaches Visual.
You can also open Options with the gear at the upper right of a level pause menu. Small blue i buttons explain the options beside them.
- Choose the main-menu gear, then Options.
- Use Gameplay for Noclip, progress and speed controls.
- Use the right arrow to reach Visual for hitboxes and other displays.
Web Dashers Noclip
Noclip is on the Gameplay page. Its help says it lets you pass through most objects that would normally kill you.
With it enabled, NOCLIP appeared at the upper left. In Stereo Madness our cube passed the early spikes and blocks without a jump. With it disabled, the first spike killed the cube.
The nearby Noclip Accuracy help says it flashes the screen red when a collision would have killed you. We read that explanation but did not separately verify the flashing effect.
- Open Options → Gameplay.
- Tick Noclip, close Options and resume the level.
- Untick Noclip when you want to practise with normal collisions.
The game itself says most hazards, not all. We have not verified protection from every kind of death.
Web Dashers hitboxes
Show Hitboxes is at the top of Visual. It drew outlines around our player and level objects during play.
The help describes Hitbox Trail as showing where the player hitbox has been. Hitboxes on Death is described as showing hitboxes on death in both normal and practice mode. Those two effects were not separately tested.
- Open Options and move to Visual.
- Tick Show Hitboxes.
- Close Options and resume to see the outlines. Untick it to turn that display off.
Percentage, FPS and other display options
Show Percentage is on Gameplay. Percentage Decimals adds decimal places; our progress changed from whole percentages to readings such as 6.57%.
Show FPS is on Visual. Turning it on displayed a frame count at the upper right. Its help calls this frames per second.
The Visual help also describes Show CPS as showing clicks at the upper left, Show Glow as glow for basic object sets, and the Portal and Orb Guide options as extra indicators. We have not tested every display option in a level.
Other gameplay options
Speedhack is a numeric field on Gameplay, initially 1. We entered 0.1, pressed Enter and observed slower movement. We restored 1 afterward.
The in-game help describes StartPos Switcher as switching between start positions and Macro Bot as recording and replaying inputs. We did not verify those workflows.
Practice Music Sync is also on Gameplay. Its help says it plays normal-mode music in practice mode. Our session was muted, so we did not verify its audio.
This guide covers the controls we checked and labels help-only descriptions. It does not promise that every beta option works.
FAQ
Where do I turn on Noclip?
Open Settings → Options → Gameplay and tick Noclip. During our test, NOCLIP appeared at the upper left of the level.
Where is Show Hitboxes?
It is on the Visual page of Options. Turn it on to display outlines around the player and objects.
Does Noclip prevent every death?
We only verified passing the early spikes and blocks in Stereo Madness. The game help says most hazards, so we do not claim complete immunity.
How do I show decimal progress or FPS?
Tick Percentage Decimals on Gameplay for decimal progress. Tick Show FPS on Visual for the frame counter.
How do I change the speed?
Click the Speedhack value on Gameplay, replace the number and press Enter. We tested 0.1 for slower movement and restored the original value of 1.
